2. Financial Services and Markets Act 2000
Investment transactions
Bond Solicitors is not authorised under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 but we are able in certain circumstances to offer a limited range of investment services to clients because we are professionally regulated by the Solicitors' Regulation Authority. Their rules can accessed at www.sra.org.uk .As a client you are able to use the complaints and redress procedures operated by the Legal Ombudsman. We can provide these investment services if they are an incidental part of the professional services we have been engaged to provide.
Nothing we say or do should be construed as an invitation to engage in investment activities, nor as advice on the investment merits of acquiring or disposing of particular investments.

2a. Insurance mediation activity
Bond Solicitors is not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. However we are included on the Register maintained by the Financial Conduct Authority so that we can carry on insurance mediation activity in the UK, which is broadly the advising on, selling and administration of insurance contracts. This part of our business, including arrangements for complaints or redress if something goes wrong, is regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. The Register can be accessed via the Financial Conduct Authority website.

7. Professional Indemnity Insurance
In accordance with the disclosure requirements of the Provision of Services Regulations 2009, Bond Solicitors has professional indemnity insurance cover which meets the requirements of those regulations and those of the Law Society. Our insurer is St Pauls Travellers whose address is Exchequer Court, 33 St Mary Axe, London EC3A 8AG. 8. Anti-Money Laundering
Pursuant to our obligations under anti-money laundering laws and our accompanying professional obligations, if you instruct Bond Solicitors, we will use various available sources of information to establish certain matters about you, such as verifying your identity, including electronic verification.

9. Scams and Frauds
Please be aware that criminals may pose as someone from Bond Solicitors, in order to carry out scams or frauds. These scams will often originate by email and may involve offering a large sum of money to the victim (such as an inheritance, unclaimed bank funds, lottery wins or  even loans) in return for paying a more modest sum in advance, often referred to as a transaction or brokerage fee. Key to the scam is the entering into any form of communication.

If you receive an email of this nature claiming to be from Bond Solicitors do not correspond with the sender. It is highly unlikely to have come from Bond Solicitors. Please forward it to the firms Practice Manager, Adrian Bond at adrian.bond@bondsolicitors.com.
Neither Bond Solicitors nor any solicitor or employee of the firm will be responsible for any losses incurred by such a scam.
